How do we get started? What’s the process?

The next step is easy, just give us a call. Ask for Chris or Harry (our principals) and we will talk to you about your project and get a sense for the project size, type, schedule, budget, and goals. We often then schedule a meeting to meet face to face (or virtually) with the important family members or business owners to go over things in greater detail. This is also a crucial step in making sure that we are a good fit for one another.

If the project is a renovation, we will often hold our initial meeting at the subject site to help our understanding of what existing conditions may be.

Then we will write up a proposal that outlines our understanding of the project goals and an estimate of what we think our fees will be. As mentioned earlier, we bill hourly and in our proposal we estimate our project fee (or a range) for each phase of the project and use those numbers as benchmarks to gauge our progress through each of the phases.
